Grow Your Own Garden
with Susan Smith

The Grow Your Own Organic Garden (GYOOG) class is designed for adults, but would be appropriate for teens and middle-grade kids, as well. The class is geared toward beginner gardeners. However, it also often attracts individuals who have been gardening for a long time but want to learn more about how to garden sustainably. Participants will learn the basics of organic gardening -- such as supporting soil and plant health, starting seeds indoors and outdoors, interplanting, pest management, watering, and harvesting. Students will have plenty of time to ask questions and connect with one another about shared experiences in their gardening journeys so far. By the end of this class, participants should feel equipped with knowledge -- and connected to resources and community members -- that will help them grow an organic garden, and feel satisfied with the process of doing so. Students will also go home with some seeds to start in their gardens.

This course will show you an in-depth look at street self defense without the risk of you being injured. This course will include a uniform as well.
