Beginner Daito Ryu (father Aikido)
with United Fitness
Daito-ryu Aiki Jiu Jitsu contains unique and secret techniques taken from the Kai Takeda family to the Aizu clan. The purpose of Daito-ryu is to train the body and mind by repeatedly practicing techniques according to your level of proficiency. The techniques are practical and anyone-young or old, male or female-can take lessons for self-defense or for healthy exercise.
It has directly influenced the development of many popular martial arts, such as Shorinji Kempo, Hakko Ryu Jujutsu, Hapkido, and most famously Aikido, whose founder Morihei Ueshiba trained extensively in Daito Ryu under Takeda Sokaku.
