It's spooky season, so why not learn a spooky new skill? The elder futhark runes are an ancient alphabet that we use for divination today much like tarot. This course is perfect for those with little to no knowledge of the runes. In this course you will learn a brief history of the runes, the meaning and pronunciation of each, the lore around them, how to do readings, and how to maintain your rune set.

In the summer of 1996, my life took a detour during a solo camping trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota. My only companion was my German shepherd, Doug. It was then that some unimaginable things happened. I sensed emanations from the land, saw the ghosts of Indigenous people, and watched birds morph before my eyes. The journey led to a spontaneous transformation from an ordinary science teacher into a medical intuitive and healer.

Students will create their own earrings from copper sheet metal. They will cut a shape, texture, file and polish into a matched or mismatched pair. Tonya will have premade sterling ear wires available and she can teach them how to make their own if they wish to learn.

PLAY THE UKULELE, YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS HERE! Learn to play the ukulele! It has never been more popular and you don't even have to know how to read music! On the uke you can knock out folk music, rock, blues, jazz, pop, country, tunes old and new -- even classical music. Duncan Perry, who has taught more than 700 students of all ages, will introduce you to essential chords and playing techniques using commonly known songs. Oh, and there are lots of laughs along the way. And, learning to play an instrument is good for your brain! You will need a playable ukulele and an electronic tuner or a tuner app. And when folks hear you play this happy instrument, well, they just have to smile! We will discuss the book The Afterlife of Billy Fingers. Billy reaches out to his sister after his untimely death to show her he is alright and to also talk about what heaven is like. Come with your questions and comments!!
